Aerospace Testing & Development Show 2025
Sep 30 – Oct 1 2025
Following the partnership with the magazine Aerospace Testing International, The Society of Flight Test Engineers, European Chapter, had the pleasure to participate in the Aerospace Testing Development Show in Toulouse, an expo which took place on the 30th of September and the 1st of October 2025, organized by the Mark Allen Group.
The two-day Aerospace Testing and Development Show featured 140 companies exhibiting testing technologies and solutions at the MEET Exhibition Centre, Toulouse. Parallel with the exhibition were two days packed with presentations from test practitioners and suppliers.

The presentations were split into two forums: Testing and Propulsion. These 20-to-30-minute presentations and Q&A offered insight into the tools, techniques and lessons learnt to date from ground testing through to in flight testing for both terrestrial and space vehicles. Future electric, hydrogen fuel cell, hydrogen engine and hybrid electric flight were prominent with Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, digital certification, advanced sensor technologies and human factors in flight testing also featuring. One regulatory authority (UK CAA) presented a view of a regulatory landscape, the associated challenges and how they are being overcome through collaboration with key stakeholders. Overall the show was a reasonable balance of technical detail and product/service sales promotion, generally well received by attendees.
As SFTE - EC, we attended with a delegation composed of President, Mr Nick Caccavo, Secretary, Mrs Raluca KARASSI RADULESCU, and distinguished member, Dr Micheal Bromfield. Given the limited time available, the President delivered a brief presentation of the nature and the activities of the SFTE, with emphasis on the European Chapter and Dr Bromfield delivered a full presentation of a case study regarding hybrid electric aircraft accident investigation.

The observed feedback was positive, with the audience filling up all the space available, showing interest in both the activities of our Organization and in the work performed by Dr Bromfield. Several questions were raised after the presentations and we could observe an encouraging attendance of young engineers, who we invited to follow and join the Society’s events.
We are thankful to the Mark Allen Group and in particular to Mr Ben Sampson who allowed our Organization to be among the protagonists in their event in Toulouse, and we wish to attend again on the next occasions, with an even richer participation of our members. A sincere “thanks” to our friend Michael Bromfield for his availability to appear in Toulouse representing the European Chapter and his professionalism in the content delivered.
See you soon in Toulouse again!
